Acoustic Ceilings

Acoustic ceilings can provide the opportunity to improve both sound reverberation (many people on the telephone in one room), or the transmission of noise between floors or rooms in a building.

An acoustic suspended ceiling can be particularly useful in open plan offices, where there are staff using the phone at the same time.

The benefits of an acoustic suspended ceiling can be simply achieved by upgrading the existing ceiling tiles to a specific Armstrong acoustic ceiling tile.

RECORDING STUDIOS, GUILDFORD

At these popular Guildford recording studios, we installed an MF ceiling with two layers of soundboard plasterboard. These were hung from acoustic hangers. Additionally, the ceiling void was insulated with Rockwall. Acoustic light fittings and acoustic access hatches were also used to reduce sound transmission.
