Fire rated Ceilings
To install fire rated ceilings, fire rated plasterboard can be used in conjunction with the MF suspended ceiling system to provide structural fire protection to meet building control requirements.
One hour fire rated grid and tile systems are available to provide protection to the underside of Mezzanine floors.
FIRE RATED CEILINGS CASE STUDY
This MF ceiling was completed in a Workshop of the Petworth Estate. Regulations dictated that the ceiling must offer fire protection to the floor above. MF grid was used in conjunction with Fireline Plasterboard to achieve an adequate fire rating. The work was completed over a period of a week.
