We’re proud to share details of a recent project we’ve completed at a secondary school in the New Forest. Our team was tasked with installing a new suspended ceiling system throughout various rooms in the school, providing a clean, modern finish while improving acoustic performance and overall aesthetics.
Rockfon Arctic Tiles and 24mm Grid System
For this project, we used Rockfon Arctic tile* combined with a Rockfon 24mm grid system. This combination was chosen for its superior sound absorption and crisp, clean appearance – ideal for a busy learning environment. The white finish of the Rockfon Arctic tiles creates a bright and fresh feel, enhancing natural light and contributing to a more comfortable atmosphere for students and staff.
Melamine Upstand Detailing
One standout feature of this installation was the incorporation of a white melamine upstand detail at the windows. This detail adds a polished, seamless look, blending perfectly with the suspended ceiling and ensuring a consistent finish throughout the rooms.
Multiple Classrooms Completed
The project included work across several classrooms, all completed with the same Rockfon ceiling system and melamine upstand at changes of level. One particular classroom also featured a plasterboard bulkhead detail, expertly installed by our team. The bulkhead was carefully taped and jointed to achieve a flawless, smooth finish.
